♫ Time keeps on slippin', slippin', slippin'...♫

[youtube https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=c1f7eZ8cHpM]

I loved that song when I was a kid! My sister and I would belt out the tunes in the backseat of Mom's Cutlass Supreme. We'd belt out tunes anywhere for that matter! This song was the first thing that popped in my head when I read the rules for the Club Scrap NBUS Challenge (Never Before Used Stuff) for this month...use a time/clock stamp or stencil. I challenged myself further and scrounged through my paper scraps to put this together. I like it!

The cat clock is from the CS March 2015 50's Kitchen kit. The background and sentiment stamp are from past Club Scrap kits as well. Oh! AND I used my Wink of Stella pen for sparkle, bought that over the summer and never used it! SMH...

Do MORE of what makes you happy!

July NBUS Challenge

Per Pam at Club Scrap..."What’s NBUS, you ask? NBUS=Never Before Used Stuff. This month's challenge is to create a page, card, ATC series, tag, or whatever using a SUMMER stamp you’ve never used from your stash (anything that says summer to you – quotes or objects from Summer PSL, Cantina, something that looks like a sun, flipflops, beaches, Cape Cod, bees, dragonflies, Castaway, water, etc)." So this SCREAMS summer to me!

The wave stamp is from the Club Scrap 2015 Reunion kit. The margarita glass is part of the stencil from this month's Club Scrap Cantina kit. The bathing beauty and sentiment are Dylusions stamps. Oh, and the background stencil is from the Club Scrap Artifacts kit. All card stock is from Club Scrap.
The bathing beauty was too big to stamp on a card, so I made a giant 6*10 inch tag. I want to party with HER! Dont' you?!

I also entered her in the Embrace Your Art Daily Challenge hosted by Tiare Smith Designs. Be sure to check out the Club Scrap challenge board and the Tiare's prompts and the make something!

True Love!

I really liked the technique I used on the fleur de lis card I posted yesterday, and wanted to try it again today with another stamp.

All cardstock, stamp images and ink are from Club Scrap.

The first week of Winter PSL started this week at Club Scrap, as well as the monthly NBUS challenge (Never Been Used Stamps). This card will count for both challenges. Check out all the great artwork that is being posted!

Happy Tassle Day!

I have been watching craft videos on youtube to spark my crafting slump.  I found some fun watercolor technique vidoes by +Jennifer McGuire. This one got my attention. Simple and I had all the tools…

I used the 2008 Graduation stamp set from Club Scrap to create the background.
Wendy's Iphone 004
Distress inks, watercolor brush, paper distressing tool,  and Distress embossing powder.

My finished card…

I am loving the watercolor droplets!

I splattered some distress inks with the watercolor brush.

I submitted this for the Club Scrap April NBUS Challenge.  This month’s challenge is to use a stamp that looks like a watercolor image or to try a watercolor technique. So easy I might have to make another!

National Nap at Work Day!

OK, I didn’t nap at work. I did watch craft videos and blog surf though. My Iphone comes in handy like that. I was surfing youtube and found this +Jennifer McGuire  tutorial:

It has been awhile since I have crafted with paper and I had the urge after watching the video. After work I marched straight into my craft room, with my scrubs still on, because I WILL fall asleep if I change clothes and get comfy. I also went in there with the intention that I would start an art journal per +Tiare Smith  and +Hetty Sanders  and their Journal52 blog entries. I follow both of them on Bloglovin’ and loved their latest posts about their art journals, which I was also surfing at work today. But, I was distracted when I started playing with the Distress Inks on watercolor paper because Jennifer’s tutorial was so much fun. I ended up making two cards…
This one was supposed to be a Distress Ink Bleed like the video. It didn’t exactly turn out like that, but I like it. I added the background noise stamp so that I could enter it in the Club Scrap NBUS Noise Stamp Challenge for March.
Heart-Wing-Noise-Background
Then I figured, while I was at it, I would make an entry for the ALBC (Assembly Line Boot Camp ) Week 5 Challenge. This week was projects using stencils/masks. This is what evolved:
Antique phone i just called
The stencil is from the Gimme a Ring Club Scrap kit. I inked it with embossing ink and embossed with copper embossing powder. I embossed the sentiment image as well. All card stock and stamps are from +Club Scrap .

Sigh…I ate leftovers, DID NOT finish the laundry, and made a mess in my craft room that I didn’t pick up either. Hey, I had to work today and it is the first work day after Spring Forward. Give me a break!  Now, time for a NAP, I am off to bed…

The “Wendy” Challenge

I am participating in three challenges at Club Scrap.  Instead of making a card for each one, I challenged myself to incorporate the challenge details in one card. Whew!
March 2014 Card Sketch Challenge
The first challenge was the March 2014 card sketch challenge

The second was the NBUS challenge for March 2014. The requirement was to use a “noise” background stamp, so I used the mother stamp from the 2008 Generations digi kit.
The fourth challenge is from the ALBC (Assembly Line Boot Camp) challenge on the Club Scrap blog. The challenge is to create a card, page, project or digital artwork featuring florals. Click here to check out all the fabulous artwork that has been submitted.
I have completed the Wendy Challenge!
