What a beautiful quote from a book that I absolutely could not stand to read! I choose to apply this quote to my own memories of the beach and my interest in the uncanny mysteries of the sea. I feel so at home at the beach. I love the sea breeze and the smell of salt water in the air. I can sit in a chair under an umbrella for hours and look at the water and BREATHE. A week at the beach is my therapy for the year. I love it so much, I bought Jergen's Hydrating Coconut Milk Body Cream so I could smell like the beach all the time!

I thought of this ad when I was putting my card together. Those sea-monkeys really made an impression on me!
I loved to read comics when I was growing up. I read Archie, Richie Rich and Little Lotta comics until they fell apart. Anyone remember these ads? I begged my parents to let me order these, they were only a dollar! I never did get to order those sea-monkeys, but my friend did. Turns out they were just little seahorses, but they were FASCINATING!
I had fun designing my "mixed media" collage. I went through my stash and collected embellishments that were "sea worthy". I even melted the fibers of the mesh with a heat gun to grunge it up.
The bottle filled with tiny seashells is my favorite!
