Illusory works of art have a curious fascination. They represent a triumph of art over reality. They are illogic masquerading as logic.

These are some of the first optical illusion photos taken of and by my Dad in the 60's. There were lots more taken of us over the years! We LOVED when he would use the Polaroid camera because we could watch while it developed!
I had fun coming up with ideas for this month's Club Scrap Artist Team Challenge. The challenge was inspired by Tricia Morris' May blog hop layout, one paper one photo. The challenge is to make your one layer look dimensional with different techniques. Hmmmm... I found three techniques that were perfect!
I looked through my collection of Scrap Raps and found this technique from 2008.
I used different Spellbinders dies to cut shapes to use as masks and the cut out for a stencil. Lots of masking, coloring and shading ensued!

I utilized a ghost stamping technique with Club Scrap's white pigment and India inks for this one. I masked off an area with Post it tape to have an open area for the sentiment.

Last, but not least, it's a Metallic Marvel! This ghosting technique was a class taught during Club Scrap's 2009 Retreat. Is that cool or WHAT?!
