Sorry about the mess, but we LIVE here!

I live in a frat house.

Not really, but it feels like it sometimes! Two sons, a cousin, my husband and the dog. All male. I am the odd "man" out! I have to say that they are all pretty awesome housemates, though I am sure I get on their nerves with my constant nagging about mess. Hey, it's in my nature! I think it is a female trait to want things clean and organized. I can't help it! I used to kill myself cleaning when my kids were growing up. Saturday was my cleaning day, if there weren't ball games! I've gotten lazy in my old age, or is it that I realized that it wasn't the most important thing in the world to have a spotlessly clean house? Probably a little of both. It has taken 26 years for them to wear me down though!

You know you are doing something right when you can't wait to get home every day. This quote sums it all up for me.

I'm going to make this into a canvas because I love it so much! Don't you love the Just For Fun Rubber Stamps collaged row houses stamp?

I had the little velvet heart out on my craft table to add to another project, but it was perfect for this one!

I designed the sentiment in Photoshop Elements using the fonts Bigelow Rules, Jury Duty and Beyond the Mountains. The sentiment was designed to print on a 4.25 x 5.5 card panel, so that I can print and repeat as many times as I like!

Blog Candy Alert! Just For Fun Rubber Stamps (JFFRS) hosts a monthly challenge and the randomly chosen winner will receive a gift certificate to shop in their online store. Your project must include a rubber stamped image somewhere in the design. You DO NOT have to use a JFF stamp to be considered for the gift card,  but if you DO use a JFF stamp you will receive a second entry into the drawing doubling your chance to win! Sounds like a sweet thing to me!

  2. It's hard being outnumbered! I, too, have significantly relaxed my standards of a clean house, except for when company's coming, LOL. Love the collage and the sentiment is perfect.

  8. I used to be the same way!!! I was a FREAK about housecleaning. And then I got married.... And then I had a kid... A boy, no less... And then it all went to hell.... just kidding... sort of... I'm in a house full of males myself, pets and all so I can totally relate!!! lol Beautiful work here though. I love everything about this!! That sun. That sentiment. Those houses stamped over print. Brilliant idea!! Ya know, I wish I used Elements more, but I just don't understand it. Do you make your image an A2 size and then just print it on an A2 size cardstock? Or do you do it on a regular letter size and cut it down? I'm trying to understand how to print my own sentiments like this. I've done it a few times but I totally wing my way through it and then I can't remember what the heck I did...

  9. My kindred spirit! I wing myself through it all the time...I really should try to make notes when I do something I like because I NEVER remember! I started getting serious about digital scrapbooking about 6-7 years ago. I took a class through digitalscrapper.com. The instructor Linda Sattgast was affiliated with Adobe. She went through every tool in PSE. Worth every dime. I still go back from time to time and review the videos and handouts. So, back to your question, yes, I design for the size I want to print and print on that size card stock. You could just print on any size paper and trim it out though. I've even used my Silhouette to trace and cut when I want to get fancy. That's the only thing I know how to do on the Silhouette though! I like finding/coming up with my own quotes lately. That way I can tailor it to whoever I'm giving it to for a personal touch. I do that for my art journal LO's too. Hmmmmm...I haven't done that in awhile! You've inspired me!
