The first swarm was already gone when he got there, but he was able to catch the second one.

Our backyard is kind of a wild kingdom right now...a huge vegetable garden, a dog, some bees, birds, squirrels and an owl. He showed up one afternoon and perched up in the pin oak.
Earth without art is just "Eh", so I had to make a card too!

Bugaboo Stamps Owls and Flowers coloring page. [/caption]I printed the image on watercolor paper and got busy watercoloring the images with Faber Castell gelatos, TomBow Dual Brush pens, shading with Faber Castell Big Brush Markers and some Diamond Stickles for sparkle.
I trimmed some of the flowers with a craft knife and popped them up with some foam tape for a little added dimension. I opted to skip a sentiment, the colored images were too cute to cover up!

ReplyDeleteYour projects are both wonderful! I love your Earth day theme! I like the idea of bees, but I would be afraid to have a hive, and I am glad that I think my yard would be too small anyhow! Love the owl, I think that must be a barred owl. They make a cool noise. Have a good day!
ReplyDeleteI was a little afraid too have them too, but my husband handles them with no suit sometimes. Once you know what to do, it’s less scary. I’m more excited about the honey! The owl has scared off the squirrels...good for my garden!🤪
