Welcome to my stop on The Stockings Were Hung Blog Hop! If you landed here from Nicole's blog you are in the right place, but you can always start at the beginning of the hop here.
Today's hop features projects by 20 bloggers from the Connie Can Crop and Friends Blog Hop group and we have THREE prizes to give away!
To be eligible to win, follow each of the fabulous blogs on this hop and leave a little love on each blog by 10PM Sunday. Winners will be announced Wednesday 12/12/18 on the Connie Can Crop blog.
My first project is a pair of scrapbook layouts. My sisters came to visit for Thanksgiving and they went through my mom's treasure trove of old pictures. This picture was one of our many Sears or J C Penney holiday photos. They are notorious for turning pink and yellow, so I solved that by converting the photo to black and white! Weren't we cute?!
We became a trio in 1980 when my baby sister was born. Fast forward 38 years and we became the "sassy" sisters!
I used elements from Club Scrap's Gnome for the Holidays digital kit and I liked it so much I thought I'd share a kit as one of the prizes. I used Photoshop Elements to create my digital layouts, but you can use any software that works in layers. You can also just print the tags and panel images from the paper collection on 8.5 x 11 inch card stock to use for hybrid cards and scrapbook layouts. Club Scrap's page and card formulas are handy with digital layouts too. Click here to see a Club Scrap digital layout tutorial on my Youtube channel.
Project number 2: I'm always looking for something to keep me organized during the holidays and this little file folder folio was just the thing I needed! Click here for the tutorial on Club Scrap's blog.
I decorated my gift organizer with papers and stamp images from the Gnome for the Holidays paper collection. The paper kit is no longer available (Club Scrap kits are limited edition), but the digital kit offers some of the same backgrounds and images.

ReplyDeleteYou're very welcome Wendy, Merry Christmas to you too :)
ReplyDeleteGreat project
ReplyDeleteI just love your two layouts that show your sisters and yourself over the years. Great idea to print the old photo in black and white. I have a lot of photos from the early days that have turned yellow with age and need to do this.
ReplyDeleteThank you Karen! I was surprised how good the resolution was when taking a picture of the photo instead of scanning. I hate that they’re faded. I remember those little outfits!
ReplyDeleteI’ve been wanting to do digi layout but haven’t tried it yet. I love the organizer. I’m going to download load the fonts I like them so much.
ReplyDeleteYes! Don’t you love the cursive font? Digi scrapping has a bit of a learning curve, but I prefer it to paper layouts. I have two sons and with one digi layout I can print as many copies as I want (and I never run out of my favorite “paper”).
ReplyDeleteAbsolutely amazing!!
ReplyDeleteThank you Rebecca!
ReplyDeleteLove your projects. The organizer is amazing.
ReplyDeleteWhat a great layout! I love how you brought past and present together. I bet you're the envy of everyone with that holiday organizer. There's no way you could forget a gift on your list with something that cute to help you remember it all!
ReplyDeleteWhat a great organizer! This is probably something that would help me out. Love the tags too.
