Love You Mas.

I've always loved the short expression, " Love you more than the stars." I would say it to my children every night before they went to bed. My oldest son and I would come up with infinite examples to top each other. We'd keep saying it to each other as I walked out of their room and finally out of earshot. My youngest liked to "get the last word in" and would yell the last phrase from his bed after it was quiet. It always made me laugh.

I'm the oldest of five and we grew up watching The Walton's. Our nighttime routine was to say goodnight like they did on the TV show.

Usually, after several rounds, my dad would holler, "Everybody be quiet and go to sleep!" Lots of giggling ensued!

The "Love you mas." and "Love you to the moon and back" sentiments, in Club Scrap's Dia de Los Muertos stamp set, reminds me of the goodnight routine with my sons. I'll have to make something for my "boys" using them 💖. (Links to available supplies are listed at the end of this post.)

These images are also perfect for the new Cupcake Inspirations music challenge!

I used Club Scrap's Idea Deck to make a shadowbox card! The decks are now in digital form. Click HERE for available card formulas!

I used Club Scrap card stock from my stash and chose some embellishments to "bling it up" a little!

Music was a big part of my family when I was growing up. I went with the "Day of the Dead" theme and made my card an ofrenda to remember all my loved ones who have passed on.

I added an Action Wobble to the guitar since the significance of the ofrenda is for the souls of the deceased to come back and enjoy their worldly pleasures once more. Music never dies, right?

  3. Wendy, this is a really special card! I love the theme. I mean, where can you use gems for eyes but with Dia de los Muertos theme! The action wobble is a great touch too. I love this idea deck you have. Might have to see how much it is except I just made a crafty purchase last night so I can’t make another for a few week. Have a great day!
