I found a fun Hawaiian shirt card design by Tami White on Pinterest and just had to make one for myself!

I took Tami's video tutorial one step further by making a set of cutting instructions. If you only want to make one card, use one sheet of 8.5 x 11 (white or light colored card stock) and ink, color and stamp your heart out. I like to mix things up a bit, so I recommend cutting a sheet of light colored card stock and a darker or patterned paper to mix and match the pieces for a fun "twofer" design!
These instructions are designed for cutting with a paper trimmer.
- Cut one sheet of 8.5 x 11 card stock vertically at 4.25.
- Place one of the 4.25 x 11 pieces horizontally in the trimmer and cut at 9, 8, and 5.5 inches.
- Cut the 4.25 x 2 inch piece horizontally at 4 and 2.
- Score the remaining 4.25 x 11 horizontally at 5.5 inches and fold. This will be the card base. If the card base is dark, you can cut a light colored 4 x 5.25 panel to adhere on the inside of the card for writing your message.
- Fold the ends of the 4.25 x 1 inch strip toward the center and at a downward angle for the shirt collar.
- The two 2 x 2 inch pieces will be sleeves.
- The 4.25 x 5.5 piece will be the card panel.
- Decorate the pieces as desired.
- Follow the instructions in the video for more detailed folding and placement.
I used the JFF Dolphins and Palms Silhouette stamp to decorate the front of my tropical shirt!
I added some faux stitiching, "buttons", and a little rhinestone starfish for bling!
There's even room inside to write a little something. A shirt fit for a king..."King of the Couch"of course!
My card is part of the new JFF Shaped Cards challenge that started yesterday.
