WANTED! Morning Coffee!

I like my coffee, but I love when someone makes a cup for me in the morning!

Taylormadecards4u Santa Wanted Poster digital imageClub Scrap Coffeehouse December 2019 hybrid kit.

I'm impatient and will make a quick cup in the morning using an electric coffee maker. However, my husband and sons prepare their coffee using an Aeropress.

That thing will make coffee that will cause your heart to skip a beat! Oh my gosh, it sure is good though...

Today's post is part of the Taylormadecards4u Inspiration Team holiday crafting challenge using some of the new Christmas digitals. (All available supplies will be listed at the end of this post.) My first layout features a plain wanted poster image that I turned into a digital element using Adobe Photoshop Elements 2020. Check out my how-to video for details!

Please feel free to save and use this image on your digital projects or print on card stock and embellish your cards and paper creations. All I ask is that you credit me (Wendy Bellino) and link back here!

My layouts also feature elements from Club Scrap's December 2019 Coffeehouse hybrid kit. Below is a copy of the page formula I used from Club Scrap to trim the papers for a double-page spread. You can use it again and again, arranging the elements differently each time to create beautiful pages with materials from your stash. Visit Club Scrap's blog to print a copy of the instructions and see more layouts with this formula!

Monster-ific!

I've got another art journal layout for you and these guys are adorable scary!

SGChallenge October 2018 003E

All Dressed Up Stamps is one of the sponsors for the Critter Crazy challenge on the Southern Girls blog and I used their Monsterific digi stamp scene to create my page. I didn't do anything fancy; just some coloring and shading with Prismacolor colored pencils and Gamsol blending. I spattered a little Black Soot Distress Ink on the background for interest and inked the edges of the page with it too. I snagged the quote from the movie Monsters University and created the text using the font Grutch Shaded from Dafont.com.  These little critters were fun to color!

Check out the challenge on the Southern Girls blog HERE and link up your critter crazy project for a chance to win a prize from our sponsors!

Just BEE!

What does it mean to just be?

Be still. Watch the birds, watch your kids play, or lie in the grass and watch the clouds roll by. The only way you can hear what's in your heart is if you are silent and still. Be present. Really listen when someone talks to you, savor your food, and put down the electronics and be in the moment. Be mindful. Meditate, pray, do yoga, take a walk, and enjoy just being alive! Be authentic. My kids call this being "real", not fake. People know when you are being yourself and when you aren't. Always be YOU.  Be content. The only person who can make you happy is you. Do MORE of what makes you happy! Be free. You come into this world empty handed and you leave it the same way. The most important things in life aren't things!

Today's post is part of the Cupcake Inspirations Challenge and we have a color theme for you!CIC 450

Kitty Bee Designs is our sponsor for this challenge and is generously providing our randomly chosen winner with a digital image. My card features the Flower Bumblebee digital stamp. I designed my card in Photoshop Elements and duplicated the daisies to create a pleasing little scene!

I printed on tan colored pencil paper, colored the images with Prismacolor pencils and blended with gamsol and a paper stump.

Just Bee Watermark

I added some splatters of black watercolor and finished things off with Wink of Stella on the wings and yellow Stickles on the daisies. It's amazing how just applying a little color will make an image come to life!

Be sure to check out what the rest of the Design Sweeties have created and link up your creation using our color theme for a chance to win!

I started out by downloading the image and adding some word art (this is an additional freebie on the Tlc blog!) using Photoshop Elements. Don't have PSE? No problem! You don't need any special software to use the digital images. Simply print the file on card stock and color and embellish however you would like.

I printed the image on Club Scrap® card stock, trimmed it out and distressed the edges with a Tonic paper distresser and some Vintage Photo Distress Ink.

I didn't want just a card panel though. After a little Google searching, I found this Center Step Card Tutorial and bonus video!

[youtube https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=znXmc09ta20]

I adjusted the instructions a bit to accommodate the wider width of my image. My card base measures 7.5 x 8. The side panels are still cut at 1 inch, but I adjusted the cut and score lines for a 5.5 x 3.5 inch card panel.

I love how it turned out!

I used some colored vellum and stamp images from Club Scrap® to create the waves. I stamped with Versamark ink and heat embossed with copper foil embossing powder and fussy cut the images. The side panels and photo mat are also decorated with Club Scrap card stock.

I used this mini resin frame to highlight the image. I inked the edges with Versamark ink, dusted with the copper foil embossing powder and heat embossed. I added a few sea shells, a little crab charm and glued everything on with some Glossy Accents.

AND of course,  a little sparkle with Diamond Stickles! Be sure to download this word art at your next stop on the Tlc blog.

Hedgehugs and Kisses

I know puns are cheesy, but they make me feel grate! (Ba-dum TSS!) My husband got a second date with a "punny" pick up line, and he asked for that second date because I laughed!  Classic Chris humor...One Saturday morning  we had an argument. He went outside to burn off steam doing yard work. The kids were being crazy, and I was hot, sweaty and angrily cleaning house. All of a sudden, he ran inside, slid across the dining room floor, grabbed me and said,"Oh my God are you OK?!" I gave him the WTH look and he chuckled and said," I thought you might have hurt yourself when you fell from heaven!" I started laughing hysterically, housework was forgotten and we had a hot date!

We don't usually go crazy for Valentine's Day, but I do like to make my Valentine a card!

Those hedgehogs made the CUTEST card for the Cupcake Inspirations Challenge starting today! My card features Gerda Steiner's hedgehog smooches digital image and Club Scrap® cardstock.
