Happy Camper

The new Cupcake Inspirations Challenge is up and it's a color theme!

This was a good opportunity for me to play with some of my neglected supplies. I pulled out my Perfect Medium and some coordinating Perfect Pearls for dusting and created this fun card! (All available supplies will be listed at the end of this post.)

Club Scrap Happy Camper stamps and charms.

I recently discovered a new product by Purple Onion Designs - clear mounting stamps.

These clear mounting stamps can be used on acrylic blocks and the different stamping platforms/tools on the market.  The clear stamps can easily be removed after stamping, stored, and used over and over again. They can also be cut down for custom sizing. No more sticky glues, foam mounts or Tack n Peel are necessary! Check out my video to see it in action.

There are some new colors of Perfect Pearls coming soon. I'm so glad I rediscovered this old favorite. I have a few more ideas/techniques for using these colorful pigment powders so stay tuned!

Click here for more color inspiration from the Design Sweeties and I'll look for your artwork in our gallery!

An English Garden Par-tea!

Hi there it’s Wendy!  Today’s post is part of the Taylormadecards4u inspiration team monthly video hop featuring the new digital kit An English Garden!

TMC4u is also the sponsor for the Crafter's Castle Challenge blog and the winner for this month’s challenge will win the featured kit, so be sure to link up to the challenge for your chance to win.

The first thing I thought of when I saw images in the kit was a garden tea party. I enjoy making projects that I will actually use and I was inspired when I saw the tea dispenser project from my crafty friend Karen on the Club Scrap blog. I just had to make one for myself! Click here for a set of printable instructions.

New to 2020, the Taylormadecards4u Inspiration Team will be a video team. I started filming and editing videos when my youngest son was in high school in 2015. I was a sports photographer for the local paper and branched out to creating videos during Jake's senior year. Click HERE for my tribute to all the people who helped make the magic happen! A lot goes into creating a video. It is many hours of planning, filming, reviewing footage, editing, splicing, adding digital artwork, photographing stills, compiling footage, final editing, uploading footage, adding links...the list goes on and on. It isn't easy. However, I love a good challenge and truly love what I do. If you like what you see, subscribe to my YouTube channel so you don't miss future videos!

I incorporated some new techniques into my project and the Ghost ink 2.0 stamped on Rinea foil is one of my new favorites. The ink removes the color from the Rinea foiled paper to create a reverse stamping effect. This technique is like magic! (All available supplies used in this project will be listed at the end of this post.)

I had some scraps leftover and made a few mini cards to showcase some of the other digital images in the kit. I printed an extra quad print from the kit and trimmed it to create two of the card bases. I trimmed the other pieces to use as panel accents. I printed the images on light blue colored card stock and was so pleased with the effect!

Stickles is my "go-to" for a little extra sparkle and I added some to accent the butterflies.

This little set of cards was quick and easy to create! I encourage you to check out what the rest of the Inspiration Team has created and join us on the Crafter's Castle Challenge blog for a chance to win this gorgeous digital kit!

Janie "The Craft Princess" has asked some of her fellow crafters to be a part of a 10,000 Thank Yous celebration video hop as a way of saying THANK YOU to her 10,000 subscribers! Ten sponsors, who have been an important part of Janie’s crafting journey, have donated a total of over $450 in prizes!

Each crafter will offer a gift certificate or a prize package from one of the sponsors on their Youtube channel. Hop along to each channel to find out what that prize is and how to be entered to win. In the description box below each video on Youtube, you will find a link to hop to the next channel. The prize for my channel is a $30 gift certificate to Thermoweb!

In order to be entered for the prize, share your favorite craft/art tool, your name and where you are from, ex. Waterbrush Wendy from Louisiana. Type your answer in the comment section below the video on Youtube! The hop giveaway is open thru Saturday, January 18, 2020, and winners will be announced on each channel shortly after. In order to leave your comment, click HERE to watch on Youtube so that you can hop to the next channel.

I am using two products from Thermoweb to create a gatefold easel card with Club Scrap's January 2020 Confetti page kit, Gina K Designs Glitz Glitter Gel and Deco Foil transfer sheets in gold. The Confetti kit features a sheet of fuschia/gold Rinea foil and it paired perfectly with the gold accents! (All available supplies will be listed at the end of this post.) Gatefold Easel Card Template: https://bit.ly/39Xjr5J

I was pleasantly surprised to find that the Deco Foil transfer sheets worked well with Club Scrap's bookbinding glue for stamping and foiling the image. Be sure to watch the video for details!

If you have any questions, please don't hesitate to ask!

Flippin' Recipe Stand

I have a stash of favorite recipes that I've collected over the years. Some of them are cherished family recipes, but the vast majority are my tried and true favorites. I have them written on note cards, old envelopes, pieces of paper and printed from the internet. I needed a recipe book for easy access to all of them. I found a few ideas on Pinterest, but they weren't exactly what I was looking for. I wanted something large enough to house all of my current recipes, adaptable to add new entries as I discover them, AND a stand to hold them while I'm cooking. So, I tapped into my inner engineer and came up with a design to reflect just what I wanted!

Today's project is part of the Crafter's Collaboration Holiday Video Hop. In each video, we will be sharing themed projects to get you inspired for your holiday crafting. Some of the videos will offer a giveaway, so be sure to leave a comment for your chance to win! The hop will be active through Saturday December 7, 2019. Winners will be announced on December 10th on each individual channel and a list of all the winners will be posted on the Taylormadecards4u.com/blog. Click HERE for the full list of participants or you can start by watching my video below.

Click HERE to download a written set of instructions to create your own recipe stand!

My recipe stand features the recipe cards and gift tags from the Holiday Baked Goods digital kit by Taylormadecards4u and printed card stock from Club Scrap's Trattoria collection. (All available supplies will be listed in the supplies list at the end of this post. )

I added a cover and decorated it by trimming the little baker from one of the Holiday Baking tags. The title was stamped with one of my favorite font stamp sets from Concord and 9th - the Sophisticated Script. I also created some colored dividers and stamped headings to categorize my recipes for quick access.

Lastly, I printed and decorated the gift tags from the digital set and they are ready to add to my baked gifts!

Click HERE to check out what the rest of the Taylormadecards4u Inspiration has created and be sure to stop by the TMC4u store for the holiday sale!

Let the holiday baking begin!

Santa's Workshop

Christmas is my favorite time of year! I just love the smell of Christmas...cookies baking, a REAL Christmas tree in the house, cinnamon and spices, and hot chocolate on the stove! But, one of my favorite traditions is sending and receiving Christmas cards. My first letter ever written was addressed to Santa! I'm not really sure if that's true, but I was obsessed with getting the address to the North Pole in the first grade. My teacher had a mailbox in the classroom where we "mailed" our letters to Santa. I sent him a lot of letters and they weren't all about my Christmas list. I wanted details about life at the North Pole, Mrs. Claus (where did he meet her?), how many elves were there, what do reindeer really eat, does Rudolf really have a nose that lights up, and does he ever cut his beard? My teacher read a letter from Santa to our class before we left for the holidays. All of our questions were answered, (not all of mine, but the important ones) and I just knew he was REAL!

This Santa's Workshop scene was my Christmas dream! (I would have been the kid with the ticket screaming, "Santa!!! Santa's coming!!! like Will Ferrell in the movie Elf.)

Digital art created using the Taylormadecards4u Santa's Workshop kit and Club Scrap's Christmas Thyme.

Taylormadecards4u has a new digital kit for Christmas, Santa's Workshop!

I'm using it to spread a little Christmas cheer with a gift card box full of Christmas cards!

If you are looking for a quick and easy handmade gift, check out this Gift Box Tutorial  from Club Scrap! The instructions are so easy to follow and you can make several at a time to give to friends and family (or keep for yourself!). I printed out the Santa's Workshop digital elements on 8.5x11 card stock and took things a step further resizing the two digital backgrounds in Photoshop Elements to nest perfectly on the cover.

I created a batch of Christmas cards to fit inside using this card formula from Club Scrap.

Using the assembly line method, I was able to create 6 gorgeous Christmas cards in about 30 minutes! No stamping, just a little distress inking with Vintage Photo Distress ink around the edges and some Diamond Stickles for sparkle!

Set 1

Set 2

All the cards nestle quite nicely inside...just waiting for me to sign, seal and deliver them for Christmas!

One Sheet Purse!

Succulents are all the rage right now. I have them all over my house and in the window of my operatory at work. They are fascinating plants and so easy to grow...especially for someone like me who forgets to water them! 😂

Today's post is part of the Cupcake Inspirations theme challenge...deserts! I made a fun project using papers and stamps from Club Scrap's Succulents collection! (Links to all available supplies will be listed at the end of this post.)

I used this step by step tutorial from Club Scrap's blog and made a video tutorial of the process. Visit my Youtube channel for more crafty videos!

I'm all about making things easy and using Club Scrap's card and page formulas have become a part of my crafting routine. The cutting and assembly instructions along with the sketch not only makes paper crafting a piece of cake, but you have very little wasted paper and more time to enjoy the process. It makes card making and scrapbooking what it should be...fun.

Here's a closer look at my "one sheet purse" and cards!

Make something "suc-CUTE-lent" and share it with us HERE for a chance to win two digital images from Crafty Scrappers! I'll look for you in the gallery!
